This is a maquette (limited edition of 50) for a monumental project currently in progress. The sculpture represents the 6th century voyage of St. Brendan to the “Land Promised to the Saints”. When completed, the monumental bronze will be placed near the location believed to be where St. Brendan departed from in Co. Kerry, Ireland. The project has been accepted by the Dingle Peninsula Heritage Office in Ballyferriter, Ireland. The cross on the right is the cross Brendan is holding. It depicts scenes from the story and has been created as a separate item as a fundraiser. It measures 7” x 14” x 1” (Bronze and gold leaf).
