St. Peregrine     -     4’ (h) x 2’ (w) x 2’ (d)     -     Bronze     -     St Paul Catholic Church     -     Pensacola, FL

The subject depicts the miracle cure of St. Peregrine’s cancerous leg. The cross on his knee represents his healed sores. The crucifix relates to his vision of Christ coming down from the cross to heal him in answer to his prayers. I chose to present him in this manner so that the devotee may relate to his powers of intercession. St. Peregrine’s foot rests on a cube. As a traditional symbol of the Earth, this represents Peregrine’s victory over earthly bounds.
