Winds of Change - St. Columba    -    26” (h) x 18” (w) x 12” (d)     -     Bronze & Stone     -     Conceptual Maquette for Prayer Garden

This is a maquette for a  life-size interpretation of St. Columba (a.k.a. St. Colmcille). The actual sculpture is the upper left small photo with the computer enhanced version of the full sculpture concept in the middle. The entire piece makes reference to St. Columba, his spiritual life, and the Celtic Christian church prior to the Synod of Whitby in 664. This is one of five sculptures for a prayer garden honoring the Celtic Christian Church. Also included in the prayer garden concept is St. Patrick (“Spirit of the Deer Cry”, St. Brendan (“Voyage of St. Brendan), St. Brigid (“Bride of the Well”), and Life Everlasting. As a maquette, “Winds of Change” is a limited edition of 10.
